Welcome to the official website of the 2022 7th International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Applications  (ICCIA 2022), which will be held in Nanjing, China, during June 24-26, 2022, sponsored by Nanjing Tech University, China, co-sponsored by College of Electrical Engineering and Control Science, Nanjing Tech University, China.

Computational Intelligence (CI), as an offshoot of the subject of Artificial Intelligence (AI), is a research field of studying various tools such as fuzzy logic, neuro networks, genetic algorithms, etc. Growing technical achievements to gather and integrate multi-“style” data from sensors, mobile devices, social media, log files, cameras, microphones etc. provide useful information about the state and the environment of the data sources, but also result in large and complex data sets, known as Big Data, which requires more efficient and powerful data analysis methods and applications.

作为人工智能的一个分支,计算智能可用于研究模糊逻辑,神经网络,遗传算法等领域。从传感器,移动设备,社交媒体,记录文件,相机和麦克风等收集并整合多种数据的日益进步的技术成果,不仅提供了关于数据来源的情况和环境的有效信息,也带来了庞大而复杂的数据集——“大数据”,而大数据则需要更有效且强大的数据分析方法和运用。

 

Recently, the great breakthroughs, Convolutional Nets in Deep Learning, in the field of Computational Intelligence have tremendously attracted the sights of researchers and aroused their enthusiasms in exploring broader applications of the CI solutions to “Big Data” problems. Deep Learning, as a core domain of CI, provides more efficient algorithms to deal with large-scale data in neuroscience, computer vision, speech recognition, language processing, biomedical informatics, recommender systems, learning theory, robotics, gaming theory. DL is gaining applications in many domains due to the availability of large amount of data coupled with machine learning algorithms.  As an increasing trend, it is necessary to establish a research forum that will enable to identify the emerging trends in the domain. As a huge part of “Big Data” comes from social networks, understanding and representations of texts in Natural Languages (NL) play an extremely important role and it is indispensable to bring Computational Semantics elements into CI to provide a true machine understandable, interactive, and communicable environment. To meet these requirements, ICCIA will provide researchers and practitioners an effective forum to exchange their latest findings and achievements in the fields of Computational Intelligence.

最近计算智能领域的一个重大突破-深度学习中的卷积神经网络已经引起了研究人员极大关注,并激发了他们的热情,去探索更广泛运用计算智能来解决大数据的问题。而作为计算智能的核心领域,深度学习能够提供更加有效的算法来处理神经系统科学、计算机视觉、语音辨识、语言处理、生物医学信息学、推荐系统、学习理论、机器人以及游戏理论中大量数据。由于深度学习与机器学习算法相结合能够获取大量数据,它已广泛运用于许多领域。随着这种趋势的发展,建立一个学术论坛使其能够识别该领域的新趋势是非常有必要的。由于绝大部分的大数据来源于社交网络,所以用自然语言来理解并呈现文本扮演着十分重要的角色。将计算语义学元素融入到计算智能从而产生一个真正的机器理解、交互与交流的环境是必不可少的。为了能够满足这些要求,ICCIA研究人员和实践人员提供一个有效的论坛来让他们交流他们在计算智能领域的最新发现和成就。

Welcome Address

After a successful organization of the international conference series of Computational Intelligence and Applications in Jeju (South Korea) in 2016, in Beijing (sponsored by North China University of Technology, China) in 2017, in Hongkong in 2018, in Nanchang (sponsored by Nanchang University, China) in 2019, 2020 virtual conference (supported by School of Computer and Information Engineering (BTBU), China), and in Xiamen (sponsored by Huaqiao University, China) in 2021, now we have its 7th event in Nanjing, China this year. This year’s international conference continues its aim to provide a forum for accessing to the most up-to-date and authoritative knowledge from both industrial and academic worlds, sharing best practice in the field of Computational Intelligence and Applications.

The objective of the conference is to address and deliberate on the latest technical status and recent trends in the research and applications of Computational Intelligence and Applications. This conference has been designed with the view to provide an opportunity for researchers and engineers from both industrial and academic to interact and exchange their new ideas and research outcomes for future collaboration.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank many people. First and foremost we want to express our deep appreciation to keynote speakers, session chairs, as well as all the reviewers for their efforts and kind help in this congress. Final thanks go to all authors and participants at ICCIA 2022 for contributing to the conference and make it a successful event.

(Day 1): The first day is all about registration, participants are supposed to sign in at the conference venue and collect all the conference materials at the registration counter on this day from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. However, the registration is still open on the 2nd day of the conference within the same time.

(Day 2): The conference chair will be hosting a opening ceremony around 9:00 am in the morning, and all the participants are supposed to be there, then the keynote speakers will deliver their spectacular speeches and share their cutting-edge research fruits with the participants. During the intermission, there will be a photo session for all the participants to take a group photo. Participants' presentations are divided into different sessions based on the conference topics, participants should find the right session room and be there at least 15 minutes earier to copy his ppt/pdf presentation into the laptop and get ready. Then the session chair will start the session on time, and give a grade to each presentation, which should be within 15 minutes, including Q&A. At the end of each session, the best presentations will be announced and the certificates will be awarded.

Instructions For Presentation/报告指导

Oral Presentation

Contributed oral presentations are 15 minutes long, including 5 minutes for questions and discussion. The paper must be presented by one of the author or co-authors. Oral presentations are to be made either using your laptop or the PC that will be available in the session room (Windows system + Power point). Please come to the session room with your laptop or pen drive having your presentation file. There will be a volunteer on hand to assist in starting each presentation.

Poster Presentation

Instructions:
Size: A1
Layout: Vertical and one page needed
Be consistent with font (3 fonts max).
Use italics, underlining & capitals sparingly.
Charts/Tables: keep simple, enlarge text, thicken lines; default formatting is rarely appropriate.

Colour scheme: use 2-3 different colours plus black, which is always best for the smallest text. Use colours from your images or a colour wheel (analogous, complementary or shades).

 

You must provide your own printout of the poster itself. One of the paper author or co-authors must be present and available for discussion at the poster session. Posters will be on display in the conference room.
